D & K Excavating was founded in 1985 by Dallas & Kevin Oberdick.
The Oberdick brothers started out a small operation in 1985 in Walbridge, Ohio as a side operation to their farming. The operation quickly grew into one of NW Ohio & SE Michigan’s most trusted Excavating Contractors and in 1989 Dallas & Kevin took the operation full time and stepped away from farming. D & K is a union operation specializing in Site & Underground Utilities. In 1995 they moved the business to its current location in Perrysburg Ohio.
March 23rd 2022 the Oberdick brothers looking forward to retirement sold the business assets and real estate to their estimator / project manager Chad Wonderly. Chad utilized his 2012 created business entity Wonderly Trucking & Excavating to purchase the equipment assets and will be dba D & K Excavating. With over 24 years of field and office experience with small to large size excavation, site, utility, construction contractors throughout the state as a laborer, operator, project manager / estimator in both the private and public works sectors. He is and will be committed to continuous improvement, building a positive team environment, and maintaining a union family oriented company. Chad is optimistic about the future and will continue to lead the trusted business well into the future. The greatest asset of the company is the employees who ultimately make the difference.
